Decorative face

Melamine interior door program
A repeatable decorative surface route for residential, hospitality and commercial interiors, sourced against a clearly stated face, substrate, core and edge specification.
System definition
“Melamine door” is commercial shorthand. A responsible specification still states the decorative face type, substrate, pressing route, edge treatment, leaf core and frame package. LANDO confirms these items in the approved BOM.

Starter edit
Use these models to open the first discussion. Surface build, core, dimensions, frame and edge are confirmed by order rather than inferred from the image.
Buying controls
A price comparison is meaningful only when the visible finish and hidden construction use the same baseline.
Surface type, texture, grain direction, sheen, color code and reference-board approval.
Face substrate, bonding or pressing route, flatness expectation and environmental conditions.
Infill, lock reinforcement, edge band or exposed edge detail and finished leaf thickness.
Frame, architrave, seals, hardware prep, carton pack, labels and container mix.
Manufacturing process referenceApproval route
For repeat orders, the approved physical sample and BOM should remain linked. A visual finish code alone is not enough if the supplier, face construction or substrate changes.

Buyer FAQ
Clear answers depend on the selected construction, quantity, destination and approved supplier route.
It describes a door with a decorative melamine surface on an engineered facing or substrate. The exact board, surface paper, core, edge treatment, frame and hardware preparation must be confirmed in the bill of materials.
For international buying, melamine-faced door is the clearer term when the surface is melamine. Paint-free or non-painted door is too broad and can also refer to PVC foil, CPL, HPL or other finished surfaces.
Website images and printed cards are useful for shortlisting only. Production color, grain, gloss and texture should follow an approved physical sample linked to the quotation and purchase order.
Yes, when the scope is defined. A complete set may include the leaf, frame, casing or architrave, seals, hinges, lockset, machining and packing, but every included item must be written into the quotation.
