Specify a system, not a loose door board
A useful starting route is a hollow-extruded WPC interior door leaf coordinated with matching WPC jamb and casing profiles. Hardware reinforcement, seals, wall condition and installation method still need to be stated.
“WPC” identifies a composite material family. It does not prove the quality of the finished doorset, dimensional stability, hardware holding, water exposure suitability or any certified performance.
Hollow-extruded WPC interior door leaf with approved WPC frame and casing profile, reinforcement and finish according to approved sample and supplier drawing.
Six items to compare between suppliers
1. Extruded profile geometry
Compare finished thickness, chamber layout, wall or skin thickness direction, profile weight basis and dimensional tolerance. Request the actual section drawing for the quoted model.
2. Reinforcement and hardware holding
Ask how hinges and locks are fixed, where reinforcement is located and whether hardware positions are standardized. A complete sample doorset should be cycled and inspected.
3. Frame and casing
Confirm jamb section, available wall-thickness range, architrave or casing, joint detail, seals, threshold and installation accessories.
4. Surface process
PVC foil wrapping, heat-transfer decoration and coating are different process routes. State the exact route, texture and approved physical sample.
5. Production consistency
Approve a golden sample and record profile, reinforcement, finish and hardware preparation in the BOM. Repeat orders should be inspected against that baseline.
6. Packing and loading
Protect long frame profiles and door edges, separate hardware, label model and handing, and plan container loading around the size mix.
Finish routes and approval

Do not approve a WPC door finish from flooring imagery. Request a sample on the actual door surface route, because profile, adhesive, film, heat-transfer process or coating can affect appearance.
A practical sample plan
- Approve the leaf, frame and casing section drawings.
- Shortlist finish samples on the actual substrate/process.
- Build a complete doorset with the intended hinges and lock.
- Review assembly, operation, edges, joints and visible finish.
- Record the approved sample, BOM and supplier route.
- Agree inspection points and packaging before mass production.
WPC door RFQ checklist
- Market, buyer type and intended interior application
- Door or opening size, wall thickness and handing mix
- Leaf profile section and finished thickness
- Frame and casing profile sections
- Lock and hinge reinforcement and hardware set
- Surface route, finish code and physical sample
- Quantity, model mix, labels and spare parts
- Packing, destination port, Incoterm and timing
Compare a WPC supplier route
Send the supplier section, finish image, target quantity and market. LANDO will help expose the missing comparison points.
